The "Original" Alaskan Organic Plant Food is a marine product of Alaska's remote beaches and pristine waters. We are the first company to utilize Razor clam viscera, a waste product that is normally contracted for disposal at landfills. This is expensive for the clam processor, and adds to the already, overloaded landfill problems. Alaskan Organic Plant Food Company's (AOPF) use of this "waste" resource has proven to be a win-win situation for all involved including: the general public, commercial and home growers, the clam processors, landfills, and most importantly, our fragile, but resilient environment.
All our product ingredients are hand-blended and certified "Organic" by the United States Department of Agriculture under the USDA National Organic Program. See the complete report from the USDA. This report concerns the use of Cod fish bone meal, and an additive called ethoxyquin used to prevent spontaneous combustion in bulk shipments. AOPF buys direct from the fish processor that produces the bone meal, and we buy it without ethoxyquin. We have included the report, and although ethoxyquin is considered safe by the USDA and meets "Organic" criteria, it is a non-issue for AOPF.
As a company, we take pride in our 100% naturally organic plant food and go to great lengths to ensure the quality and pureness of all the ingredients that go into our plant food. We collect Razor clam viscera from our local clam processor, cod bone meal from an Alaskan fish processor, and we burn Kenai Peninsula forest wood to produce the wood ash. These ingredients are hand processed and blended, then packaged for delivery. Our products have been successfully used to grow spectacular fruit, vegetables, and flowers. We have had the worlds leader in analytical services, Brookside Laboratories, document test results that guarantee nutrient quantities and quality. We also have an extensive collection of testimonials that demonstrate positive growth results, and some wonderful tales of unbelievable harvests.
